It was BEEN A MINUTE! But here we are. Up and running 😅 My shirt perfectly explains my post grad mentality. But in all seriousness, people don’t prepare you for the ups and downs of what life looks like after you graduate. There are countless applications you send out that you feel like get lost in this abyss of resumes. There are emails saying “We regret to inform you…” There are interviews that just don’t end up how you were expecting. And there are countless breakdowns to your mom about how you are just going to be a stay-at-home daughter. And on top of all of the drama queen antics, you begin to be consumed by social media and seeing all of your fellow peers doing these out of this world, amazing careers. Needless to say, it can feel very overwhelming.

I have always been a strong and firm believer that everything happens how it should and you are exactly where you need to be in life right now. Whether that is being in the job you are because it will help you in the future. Or being around the people that you are because they need the type of person you are or you need the type of person they are. It all is part of a much bigger picture that we don’t have the full scope of quite yet. I think we can all easily fall into the trap of comparing our lives to others and it only leads to lessening ourselves and dimming our own light. Social media is made to only show snip-its. And the wonderful, extravagant snip-it’s at that. It can be very deceiving on how someone’s life really is/what that person is going through. My mom always tells me (daily, constantly) that as long as you are happy and working to better yourself/future, you are set.

Our journey is not the same as the person next to us. And THANK THE LORD that that isn’t the case because we wouldn’t have the kind of world we have today. We all are given different passions and finding what those are is what life is about. So as long as you are working towards those things, it all works out. I promise!!
