I think so often we take our hometown for granted. We are always there it seems like, always going back to it for something, but it has so much to offer. If you haven’t been to Tallahassee, I strongly recommend adventuring here. It may not look like much but it has so many hidden gems that even after 20 years of living here I am still discovering. While taking these pictures, a man came up to my best friend and I and asked us where we were from. We kindly replied with where, she being from Orlando and I being from here. He promptly and very matter-of-factly said that girls like us were not meant for a place like Tallahassee, that we needed to be in a place like New York or California. We laughed because we had literally just been talking about moving to New York or California once our college days were done. I am so eager to get out of this town, it is too small for the dreams inside of my head, but I know that I will miss it once I am gone, at least that is what everyone tells me. Today was another beautiful one for the books and after stepping outside, I immediately regretted putting on a pair of jeans. But in the jeans’ defense, they are simply wonderful. They are a brand called ‘A Gold E.’ They are made by Citizens of Humanity but meant to be a lower price point for the company. In my opinion, they look exactly alike, feel exactly alike, and fit exactly alike, they just happen to be $80 cheaper. So hey, that is a winner in my book any day. Finding cool new brands online is one of my favorite things to do, I feel like I have accomplished something when I find one that I absolutely love. I also was very impressed with my hair style skills today. I am a huge fan of fishtail braids, but short hair is not the easiest to do those with. Low and behold!!!! I found a way to do it! As bad as it sounds, dirty hair is always easier to work with. So not all is lost with short hair; I actually love my short hair, so discovering things to do with it is always a wonderful thing. Happy Wednesday friends. Xoxo.
